BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 04: The first
ever five-day workshop on Shina language commenced at Government Higher
Secondary School Kaloosa Bandipora today.
The workshop, organized by Education Department, is aimed to impart
teaching skills in Shina language to master trainees who will further give
training to other teachers in different schools of the district.
The DDC Bandipora, Director Academics BOSE, Master Resource Persons,
CEO, Dy CEO and other officers and teachers were present in the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated the organizers for
conducting such a workshop. He said Bandipora is the only district in the
valley where Shina language is spoken in two tehsils Gurez and Tulail. He asked
teachers to avail benefits from the workshop.
Director Academics BOSE informed the participants that the first book
in Shina language ‘PUMKI SHINA’ has been introduced in syllabus from 4th primary
classes.
