5 of marriage party killed in UP accident

Amethi, Nov 24: At least five people of a marriage party were killed and two others critically injured when a jeep collided with a train at an unmanned railway crossing near Bussada village under Mufassirkhana police station in the district on the Varanasi-Lucknow rail section on Thursday night.

The father of the bridegroom was also critically injured in the accident. Police sources here on Friday said the accident occurred when the jeep was hit by Lucknow-bound DMU. While four people died on the spot, one succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Ramrajya (35), Ravi (18), Ram Darshan (45), and Dharmendra Kumar (17) while another one is yet to be identified. The injured were admitted to district hospital. UNI
