Dir Agri conducts surprise visit of various offices

Orders disciplinary action against 30 absentees

 SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 21: Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Ajaz Andrabi today conducted a surprise visit to subordinate offices of the Directorate. The visiting Director checked the attendance of various offices, including Deputy Director (M&E), Joint Director Inputs, Potato Development Officer, Director Rakhs& Farms, I.T. Section, Accounts Section, Project Coordinator Mushrooms, Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Mushroom Specialist Srinagar, Asstt Entomologist Srinagar &Div Seed Certification Officer.

During his visit, 30 employees were found absent from their legitimate duties. The Director as per rules issued an administrative action against the absentees.

The officers found absent from their offices without seeking proper permission and making an entry in the movement register, were directed to explain their position through their respective controlling officers within three days, failing which warranted action under rules would be initiated against them.

The Director directed all the concerned officers to strictly adhere to the office timings so that people do not face hardships. He stressed on improvement in work culture and warned of strict action against erring employees in future.
