BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 16:
Cooperative Department today organized a day-long event to mark the 64th All
India Cooperative Week celebrations at district headquarters here.
On the occasion, Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies Kashmir M.M
Rehman Gassi was the chief guest, who unfurled the Cooperative flag to mark the
celebrations.

Cooperative Societies Budgam, Deputy Registrar Consumer Cooperative Societies
Srinagar, Deputy Registrar State Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Development
Bank Kashmir, officials and a large number of elected managing committee
members of the cooperative societies, cooperative institutional employees,
civil society members and prominent cooperatives also participated in the
function.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Gassi stressed on the members to
run societies with more efficiency for the better social and economic
development.
He said that people should come forward to join the Societies and work
with the Cooperative Department for better progress and economic growth.
The resourceful persons highlighted the role of the Cooperatives in the
socio-economic upliftment and emphasized on the need for formation of new
cooperatives in different fields by involving more and more unemployed educated
youth.
