SHOPIAN NOVEMBER 11: - District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz today listened to local’s issue here at Arahama in continuation to the district administration’s public outreach programme in far flung areas.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and
other concerned district officers were also present.
A large number of people raised various demands and sought solution to
the problems being faced by them. The demands mainly related to improvement in
power supply, drinking water, roads, education, transport, and irrigation.
The DDC assured the locals that all their genuine issues would be resolved in a
time bound manner. He also sought cooperation of people in better public delivery system. The DDC
also directed officers to gear up and ensure that the difficulties of the
people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
The DDC said that the aim of Public outreach drive is to bring the
administration to the doorsteps of the people. The DDC passed orders for immediate macadamization of the local roads and asked the concerned to
fix the problems regarding power supply, irrigation, healthcare,
sports activity, employment, water supply and other basic
facilities.
The DDC also urged the youth to take benefits of self-employment
schemes. He said the area has huge potential to generate self-employment in Agriculture,
allied sectors and animal husbandry and asked them to take up
high-density orchard plantation, dairy farming and sheep rearing. He also assured
the youth full support from the district administration.
The DDC directed the AD FCS&CA to ensure display of the rate lists
of the essential commodities like rice, Atta, Sugar, Kerosene oil, LPG, at
the Fair Price Shops.
