JAMMU, NOVEMBER 21: Celebrating World Heritage Week, Department of
Information and Public Relations today organized a Photo Exhibition showcasing
the State's rich heritage at Kala Kendra Jammu.
Photographs portraying JK’s cultural legacy were put on display
by the Department for public view in the exhibition.
The Photo Exhibition brought the rich cultural diversity and heritage
under one roof with various sections dedicated to state heritage, architecture,
culture, shrines and alike.
Pertinent to mention that Heritage Week is being celebrated across the
State with the aim to promote the unique and rich cultural heritage of the
State besides educating the younger generation about their glorious heritage.
Illumination of Heritage sites, Special cleanliness drives, Heritage
Walks, Symposiums, Painting competitions, Cultural and other programmes showing
composite culture of the state are underway celebrating the ongoing World
Heritage Week.
Joint Director Information Jammu Manisha Sarin and other officers of the
department were present on the occasion.
