Finance Secy reviews budget proposals of Home, Law Departments

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 21: As a part of the department-wise pre-budget discussions, the Principal Secretary Finance, Navin Kumar Choudhary today discussed the budget proposals of the Home, Law, Election and Parliamentary Affairs Departments with the concerned officers.

Principal Secretary Home R K Goyal, Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid, CEO ShaleenKabra, Secretary Law, Abdul Majid, Director Budget Imtiyaz Ahmad and other senior officers of the concerned Departments were present at the meeting.

The Principal Secretary Finance started department-wise budget discussions here on November 7 in run up to the formulation of the State Budget 2018-19.

Speaking at the meeting the Principal Secretary Finance asked these Departments to ensure judicious and productive use of funds for developmental and other welfare initiatives.

Pertinently, the State Government has started presenting the budget in advance in the month of January to ensure timely release of resources for the developmental initiatives in the State.
