BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 7: A two day
national seminar on ‘Faculty Development in Higher Education’ was held
today at HKM Government Degree College Bandipora.
Director IQAC Central University
Kashmir Prof N A Nadeem chaired the seminar, organized by the concerned college
in collaboration with Central University of Kashmir.
The speakers held threadbare
discussions and presented papers on faculty development in higher education.
Various suggestions, issues were also put forth during the seminar.
Speaking on the occasion, the
Director CUK assured of every possible support to strengthen Higher education
in colleges. He said that 24 different courses are presently being taught at
college level. He urged upon the faculty members to work in tandem to yield
better results in higher education.
The principal GDC Prof H G Mustafa
while addressing gave details of college activities.
The principal SP College Srinagar
read a paper with special reference to education.
The keynote address was given by Dr
Madhumatti Prasad from Delhi University while as vote of thanks was presented
by Dr Kousar Parveen.
Later a business session was held,
besides a souvenir was also released.
Ex Director UGC Prof Farooq Fayaz and
Ex Controller CUK Prof N A Gilkar, besides faculty members were also present on
the occasion.
