Interacts with public delegations, assures redressal of grievances
KARGIL, NOVEMBER 03: Chairman
Legislative Council Haji Anayat today inaugurated community hall at Sani
village. The project estimating over Rs.45 lacs under Bad Pocket Initiative was
started in the year 2013-2014 and has been completed in all respects. The
construction of the hall shall cater to the requirements of the local people in
terms of holding of different social and religious gatherings besides community
assemblies held from time to time.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman while congratulating people of
the area said that the Government is fully conscious of the problems and
requirements of the people and all out efforts are being made to facilitate
people by addressing their issues.
Interacting with several public delegations at Padum, Ufti, Sani and
Adjoining villages the Chairman said that concrete measures are being made to
improve the condition of roads, augment connectivity besides to address other
issues of the people.
Haji Anayat Ali also announced Rs. 2.00 lacs in favour of renowned
volunteer and social worker Lama Tsultim Chosjor towards the execution of
welfare activities in Lungnaq block. He also announced Rs. 25 thousand for
purchase of traditional archery equipments in favour of the youth society at
Ufti. Besides, the Chairman also announced to provide funds out of his CDF for
construction of community halls and provision of generator sets for Muslim and
Buddhist communities and construction of toilet block at Ufti.
Meanwhile, the Chairman also visited Higher Secondary School Padum and
took stock of the teaching facilities being imparted to the students there.
While interacting with the staff and students the Chairman gave patient hearing
to their grievances and demands like provision of library and laboratory
facilities, deployment of lecturers, strengthening of school infrastructure and
other related issues and assured to resolve them in a phased manner. He also
directed the concerned officers to prepare DPR for ground levelling of the
school premises and to build an approach road there within 10
days time.
The Chairman also inspected the motorable bridge Padum being constructed
under Phuktal Flood Damage Scheme at a cost of Rs 4.60 lacs. The Chairman was
informed on the occasion that work on the project is expected to be completed
by August next year.
Haji Anayat directed the concerned to ensure completion of the project
within the stipulated period of time while keeping the quality and quantity of
materials well within the set parameters.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain, SSP Kargil Tsering
Gyalpo, In Charge SDM Zanskar Tanveer Ahmad besides other concerned officers
accompanied the Chairman.
