Legislative Assembly (MLA) Chenani Dina Nath Bhagat today conducted extensive
tour of Chenani Constituency and laid foundation of various developmental
projects of public importance. He also received first hand appraisal of pace of
progress on the developmental activities being carried out by various executing
agencies in the area.
During the tour, the MLA laid foundation of footpath at Sudhmahadev. The
construction of footpath at GowKaran Sudhmahadev was the long pending demand of
the people of the area which would be executed by utilizing Rs. 6 lakh. He also
kick started work on tractor road from Sudhmahadev to Pendu Sheeri on which Rs.
5 lakh would be expended.
He also
distributed Soil Health Cards at an Awareness camp organized by the Department
of Agriculture, Zone Chenani at Mantalai.
Addressing the farmers, Bhagat said that the Government has launched
various schemes including Pradhan Mantri Fasal Yojana (PMFBY) and Pradhan
Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) for the holistic development of the
farming community. He said that organization of such awareness camps are beneficial to
sensitize the farmers about the schemes launched for their welfare and
disseminating the knowledge of latest techniques and tools used in farming. “These
interventions are aimed at to achieve the goal of doubling farmers’ income by
2022 as suggested by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi” he added.
He announced Rs. 5 lakh out of his Constituency Development funds for
construction of small ponds for irrigation purpose in the area.
Earlier, he chaired a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at Sub-District
Hospital Chenani. The MLA stressed on the need for proper patient care in the hospital.
He asked the medicos and para-medicos staff of the hospital for delivering
their services in a missionary zeal. He asked the hospital management for
timely submission of requirement of medicine and other disposable items for
hospital use so that it could be arranged timely. He also asked for maintaining
proper sanitation in and around the health institution.
