| Seizes school bus, challans 20 vehicles |
REASI, NOVEMBER 03: A Motor Vehicle Department(MVD) team today seized a school bus and
charged Rs 3000 fine from different commercial vehicles for violation of road safety and traffic
rules.
The seized
school bus was found plying without valid documents while commercial vehicles
were lacking in other matters.
The MVD team laid surprise nakas at Thappa chowk, IRP chowk and Baradari bridge. The team challaned
commercial and school vehicles for various offences under MVD Act and violation
of apex court guidelines regarding the safety of students and passengers.
The team
led by ARTO issued stern warning to the drivers of school buses and asked them
to strictly adhere to the traffic regulations to avoid action by the department.
