Nagpur, Nov 16: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said that the party would form an alliance with Congress for Gujarat polls.
Addressing a press conference in Gadchiroli on Wednesday Mr Pawar said that NCP
would form alliance with Congress for Gujarat polls. The situation in Gujarat was favourable for the Congress, he further said. 'Efforts will be made to form a united force of opposition parties in view of
the Parliamentary elections of 2019', he said, adding that there was strong
discontent among people regarding the government. He is on his four-day Maharashtra's Vidharbh region tour. Mr Pawar claimed that the business community, which was strongly siding with
the BJP, has also drifted apart due to demonetisation and GST. 'Taxes are necessary but the structure should be framed in such a way that it
should not put people in problems', the former Agriculture Minister said. He also strongly criticised Home Department for its failure in handling law and
order situation in the state. On bullet train, he said that the bullet train will never become a
reality. UNI
