Says society gets direction from their
presentations
JAMMU, DECEMBER 01: Minister for
PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary on
Friday attended a musical concert organised by Indian Council for Cultural
Relations, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and
Language.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said
that the writers and singers give direction to society with their writings and
presentations, saying that they have to make the presentations of good art from
which future generations can learn lessons.
The Minister appreciated the organisers for
organizing the musical concert, saying that such programs also encourage the
budding local artists to show their talent.
On the occasion, Krishan Lal Premi Jatt, a
local singer settled outside the State, presented his performance which left
the audience spell bound. He expressed his gratitude to ICCR, J&K Academy
of Art Culture and Language for the programme, hoping that more such programs
will be arranged so that the new artists get a platform to showcase their
talent.
A video prepared by JK Channel on the famous
song of Premi Jatt "Loko Migi Taang Sajne Di" was also screened on
the occasion. The mementoes and academy publications were also presented to
chief guest, singer and other dignitaries on the occasion.
Among others, MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, Chairman,
J&K Tribunal, Sarita Chouhan, Managing Director, J&K Police
Housing Corporation, Danish Rana, Regional Director, Indian Council
for Cultural Relations, Jammu Balwant Thakur, besides large number of
music lovers were present on the occasion.
Earlier, receiving the
complaint from inhabitants of locals, the Minister paid surprise visit of Water
Supply Scheme Panjari Phase-II Sinki Chhapri of District Samba. The Minister
directed to transfer four employees posted at the WSS including Fuman Singh,
Rashpal Chand, Romesh Kumar and Byas Raj. He also asked to maintain
hygienic atmosphere in the WSS premises.
