| Conducts public grievances redress camp at Sogam |
KUPWARA, DECEMBER 16- Minister for
Rural Development Department, Panchayat Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haqtoday conducted
a public grievances redressal camp at Sogam in Lolab constituency to listen to
the grievances and demands of the people.
Assuring early action on genuine
demands, the Minister said State Government is committed to development and
welfare of the people and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is taking keen interest
in mitigating the problems faced by the public especially those living in far
flung areas of the state. For this, besides CM visiting very district herself,
directions have also been passed to all the Ministers to reach out to people
and address their grievances at their doorsteps.
He said aim of conducting such
programmes is to address public grievances at grass root level and assured the
people that more
such interactions will be held in future so that people are not forced to visit
the offices in Srinagar and Jammu. He said that the CM is personally monitoring
the progress on the commitments made during these public meetings to ensure
time bound action.
During the camp, numerous deputations
from Sogam highlighted various issues with regard to PHE, PDD and Healthcare
besides demanding renovation of roads, upgradation of lanes and drains.
Later, the Minister took stock of
various on-going development works in Lolab Constituency and directed the officials
to expedite the pace of work on these projects for quality and timely
completion.
