KATHUA, DECEMBER 20:
Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting to review
the arrangements for Republic Day function.
Threadbare
discussion was held regarding security and traffic management, power and water
supply, sanitation, seating arrangements besides illumination of important
buildings etc.
The DDC constituted various
committees to ensure proper arrangements well in time and stressed upon the
officers to put in coordinated efforts for smooth and successful celebration of
the national event.
It was informed in the meeting that
the day would start with Shehnai Vadan played by District Information Centre,
followed by hoisting of flag at sports stadium and march past by the
contingents of Police, Army, NCC, Forest Protection Force and various
educational institutes. A cultural programme on patriotic theme will be
presented and the function would culminate with the prize distribution
ceremony.
The meeting was attended by SSP Suleman
Choudhary, ADC Rishpal
Singh, PO ICDS Rajinnder Singh, DC Excise Vishesh Pal Mahajan, DC Commercial
Taxes Puneet Sharma, RTO Pardeep Manhas, ACD Rahul Khajuria, DIO Kathua Angrej
Singh, other district officers and Prominent Citizens besides representatives
of private school association.
