Delhi, Dec 19: The BJP on Tuesday took strong exception to Congress
President Rahul Gandhi's comment that Gujarat poll results were
"jolt" to the saffron party and said on the contrary "jolt"
is to the principal opposition party.
"They are saying this is jolt to BJP, this is actually
the new definition of jolt. It requires super mental ability to redefine defeat
as a victory," BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told
reporters countering Mr Gandhi's remarks earlier in the day that the election
mandate in Gujarat - where saffron party's tally has come down to 99 from 115
in 2012 - was a "jolt" to the BJP.Mr Gandhi also has said that the poll results in the western state showed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has "lost the credibility".
'Ïn illusion only you can enjoy defeat as a victory,"Mr Javadekar said.
The Minister insisted contrary to what Rahul Gandhi has said, "Prime Minister's credibility is on rise".
"What they are telling (about jolt to BJP) is insult to people's verdict," he said. UNI
