Patna, Dec 1: RJD
members today created ruckus in Bihar Assembly demanding a debate over continued crisis of sand and stone
chips for the last few months, forcing the speaker to adjourn the house
before lunch break.
As the house assembled, Leader of the Opposition Tejaswi
Prasad Yadav raised the issue of sand crisis in Bihar for the last
few months virtually paralysing the construction works and also affecting the
livelihood of lakhs of labourers. He urged Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary to accept the notice
given by RJD member Shakti Yadav for adjournment motion and allow a
debate on Sand and stone chips crisis in the House. On request of the Leader of the Opposition for a debate on
sand crisis, the Speaker said that a detailed reply had already been given by
the government and there was no need for a debate on the issue in the House. RJD members trooped into the well demanding acceptance of
notice given for adjournment motion. Parliamentary affairs Minister
Shrawan Kumar said that government had earlier given a detailed reply
on the issue in current session itself, and it was prepared for debate on
any issue in the
House if it was raised as per norms. When repeated requests by Mr Chaudhary to maintain order in the House to transact its scheduled business failed to yield any result, he adjourned the House till Zero hour. UNI
