Patna, Dec 21: RJD sponsored 'Bihar Bandh' against the state government's new small minerals policy evoked mixed response today with Bandh' protagonists disrupting road and railway traffic at various places.
The RJD sponsored bandh is also tinged with political overtones as its long time ally Congress kept itself aloof from the bandh, Sharad Yadav faction of JD (U) extended its support to it.
Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Tejaswi Yadav also took to street as he started a march along with senior party leaders and workers towards Dakbunglow roundabout from state party headquarters on Beerchand Patel Marg to make the bandh successful.
The RJD workers blocked roads at various places and also squatted on tracks across the state to enforce bandh.
The RJD exempted Patna City locality, where Takht Harmandir Sahib the birth place of 10th Guru of Sikh religion Guru Govind Singh is located has been exempted from bandh. UNI
