SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 11:
Secretary Cooperative Bashir Ahmed Bhat today conducted a review meeting here
to assess the working of the cooperative sector in Kashmir division.
The meeting was attended by MM Rehman
Gasi, Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies Kashmir, along with all the
deputy registrar and district audit officers of the province.
While reviewing, the progress of the
cooperative societies, the chair was informed that the societies have conducted
good business, adding the Cooperative Super Bazars did the business of Rs
970.87 lakh, while as Cooperative Marketing Societies did the business of Rs
1914.98 lakh. In addition, it was also informed that Primary Cooperative
Societies did business worth of 1962.16 lakhs. Besides, Kissan Credit loans worth
Rs 201.00 lakhs were also given out in district Anantnag.
The meeting was informed that 19
medical shops running in the different hospitals of the valley are functioning
24/7 and are providing 5 to 40 percent rebate of medicine and surgical items
respectively. It was further revealed that the election of the primary
cooperative societies has almost been completed.
The meeting was informed that the audit
of the cooperative societies has been completed up to 90 percent.
The meeting was informed to digitalize
the primary level cooperatives Union government and the State government has
framed a policy to provide computers to the primary level cooperative societies
for which Rs 3 lakhs per society will be provided.
