Srinagar, Dec 22: Train services which resumed on Thursday after two days, has again been suspended for security reasons in the Kashmir valley.
The services were suspended following separatists protest call after Friday prayers against killing of civilians and use of pellets allegedly by the security forces.
"We have again suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley for security reasons following advisory from police," a railway official told UNI.
The trains will not chug on Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north on Friday. Similarly, trains will not run on Badgam-Srinagar to Anantnag-Qazigund in south to Banihal in Jammu region, he said.
This is the 50th time when train service has been suspended partially or fully this year in the Kashmir valley, where train has become very popular against all other mode of transport because of safe, cheap and fast. UNI
