BANDIPORA, JANUARY
20: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Hussain today convened a
meeting to review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Republic
Day celebrations in the district.
The officers from
civil administration, police and security forces attended the meeting.
It was given out
that the main function will be held at S.K Sports Stadium Bandipora where
National Flag will be hoisted followed by March Past comprising the contingents
of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, IRP, NCC and School Children.
The DDC stressed
upon the officers to ensure foolproof arrangements and work in coordination to
make the national event a success. He reviewed all required arrangements
including security, sound system, seating arrangement, barricading, first aid,
fire tenders, parking, power/water supply, cultural programmes besides other
arrangements.
He directed the
officials to ensure availability of snow-cutter machines at the stadium. It was
also given out that full dress rehearsal will be held on 24
January at 10:30 am at S.K Sports Stadium Bandipora.
Decoration and illumination
of the main venue were also discussed in the meeting.
