New Delhi, Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said his visit to Davos to attend the world
economic forum is aimed at further improving India’s economic growth.
In an interview to Zee news, his first in the new year, the
PM said, 'India is a big market and also has a big demographic strength . So
the world will be attracted to India.
So it is obvious that the world wants to connect with India directly. And Davos provides the opportunity for that.'
In the interview, Mr Modi claimed that the NDA government’s decision to relax Foreign Direct Investment norms was implemented at the right time.
"India is doing well at home in economic, social and good governance and transparency. That is why the world is taking interest in us,"the PM said.
In this context, the PM also quoted the Ease of Doing Business report in which India jumped up 30 notches into the top 100 in the rankings. UNI
