Kolkata, Jan 8: The grand Uttar Banga Utsav (North Bengal Festival), organised by the West Bengal Government, will be inaugurated
by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today at the Kanchenjunga Stadium in
Siliguri.
The festival is a brainchild of the Chief Minister, conceived
to promote the rich culture of the region.
The North Bengal Development Department is the nodal department for organising the festival.
Cultural programmes will be arranged for two days in each district of north Bengal. UNI
