Delhi, Jan 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on
Tuesday to kick-off the commencement of the work of Rajasthan Oil Refinery at
Pachpadra in Barmer district.
The Rs 43,000 crore project, a joint venture between HPCL and
Rajasthan government, is the first oil refinery in the western state and is
being set up in the vicinity of its oil source. In a series of tweets, PM Modi said he is looking forward to visiting Rajasthan to attend the programme to mark the commencement of work for the Rajasthan Refinery at Pachpadra.
"The Rajasthan refinery will be the first in the state, which is blessed with immense oil and gas reserves. This refinery will benefit Rajasthan, especially the industrious youth of the state," he tweeted.
According to Petroleum ministry sources, the project is expected to generate 10,000 direct and 40, 000 indirect employment.
Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Union Ministers - Dharmendra Pradhan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Rajyavardhan Rathore are expected to be present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister will also address a public meeting in Pachpadra. UNI
