Chandigarh,
Jan 16: Punjab Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh has stepped
down from his post for allegedly pocketing sand mine contracts worth crores on
his staff's names.
Mr Singh has submitted his resignation to state Chief
Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, who will take a final call on it.While confirming the development, the Minister said that in his meeting with the Chief Minister last month, he had offered to resign on moral grounds.
