Patna, Jan 10: RJD
chief Lalu Prasad, who is entitled to ‘Z’ category security, has suffered
another shock as now only house guards are providing security cover to his
official residence in the state capital after he was awarded three and half
years of imprisonment in a case of fodder scam.
Official sources at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said
here that now only house guards were deployed at Mr Prasad`s official
residence, albeit he is entitled to 'Z' category security after he had been
imprisoned in the case. Sources said that Protective Service Officer (PSO) and
jawans who were engaged for Mr Prasad`s escort and pilot vehicle had been
recalled to CRPF`s camp.
Sources said, Mr Prasad had been given security cover of nearly 34 jawans under his ‘Z’ security cover.
Mr Prasad`s security was downsized to ‘Z’ security cover from ‘Z plus’ security cover in November. Under ‘Z plus’ security cover, RJD chief was provided the security cover by National Security Guard (NSG). He has presently the security cover of only CRPF personnel. UNI
