POONCH, FEBRUARY 21: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Tariq Ahmad Zargar
visited forward areas of Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote to ascertain the
situation and suffering of border residents. He also inspected progress on
construction of bunkers, development works and other basic facilities being
provided to border residents especially medical facilities in view of frequent
firing incidents.
DC along with a team of officers visited at
zero-point Kanga Gali to Danyote and interacted with locals to know their
problems. He also visited BriyaniGail,Dynhote, Ramlutta, Dhratti, Basonii and
met with several delegations.
He
listened to their grievances and gave instructions to the concerned officers to
resolve their sufferings like drinking water and medical facilities,
upgradation black topping of road from kanga gali to Dhynote.
He also informed the gathering that sufficient
bunkers along LoC will be taken up by district administration for the safety of
the people in the areas which experienced repeated ceasefire violations by
Pakistan.
On the occasion, DDC distributed medical kits
containing first aid facilities to people belonging to forward areas like Peer
Gali, Ramullata, Sandhote, Dhrati, Dargloon and Basoni.
The DDC was accompanied by SDM Mendhar Rahul Kumar
Yadav, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD ACD, Tehsildar Balakote, BDO
Balakote, BMO Mendhar and other down the line officials from different
departments besides army officers.
