Lucknow, Feb 21: Announcing a Defence Industrial Manufacturing corridor in the Bundelkhand region , Prime Minister Narendra Modi said potential coupled with Policy, Planning and Performance can lead to progress and thus Uttar Pradesh will also deliver a super-hit performance now. 
" Two defence industrial corridors were announced in this year's union Budget. One of them will come up in Bundelkhand region of the state. The corridor will be extended to Agra, Aligarh, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi and Chitrakoot," Mr Modi announced during the first UP Investors Summit.
He also announced that two new international airports at Kushinagar and Jewar (Greater Noida) will also come up besides under the Udyan scheme, 11 cities of the state would have regular air connectivity.
"Hawai chappal pehne wala bhi, hawa mein udna chahiye, " PM Modi said. Despite limited airports in the state, the amount of passengers flocking the state is huge which is the highest in the country of 30 per cent growth. Eleven New airports will give it an additional boost," he added. 
The PM, who inaugurated the two days Investors Summit, which has already garnered investments to the tune of over Rs 4.28 lakh crores by signing 1045 MoUs, said the government both at the centre as well as the state focuses not only on the Job centric growth but also people-centric growth. "We will try building such infrastructure in the 21st century that will take the state to new heights. We are giving importance to ease of living as well as ease of business. For the development of new India, new UP not only do we require new hope but also new investment," he added.
On the occasion, the PM did not forget to mention the coming Kumbh Mela at Allahabad next year.
" Tourism has become a huge industry in itself. The kumbh mela in Prayag will be the largest of its kind and we need to ensure that people from across the globe participate in it. We should ensure that every country has its representatives in Kumbh" he said.
The PM also appreciated the One District-One Product(ODOP) policy of the Yogi government." This is a game changer and will result in holistic development. This will be supported by skill India, start-up India and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana," he announced.
Mr Modi, who participated in a similar programme in Mumbai recently said, Maharashtra has set a target of trillion dollar economy." I set this challenge before UP to compete with Maharashtra and let us see who will become the first trillion dollar economy,” he said. UNI
