New Delhi, Feb 6: The Rajya Sabha was on Tuesday adjourned, within minutes after convening, following the uproar by All India Trinamool Congress on Governor 's interference in work by the West Bengal government. 
Soon after laying of papers in the house, Mr Derek O Brien stood up to say that he has issued an adjournment motion to discuss the Governor's interference in the state government work.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venksiah Naidu said he had received adjournment motions brought by parties such as Trinamool Congress, Akali Dal and Telugu Desam. 
He had, however, rejected these motions.
As Derek O Brien and other MPs protested, Mr Naidu said the members could give notice in some other form.
He then sought to proceed with zero hour.
However, The protest by MPs continued , following which the chairman adjourned the house till 1400 hours.
Monday too, the chair had adjourned the house till 1400 hours after protest by Samajwadi Party over the fake encounter in Noida. UNI
