Mumbai, Feb 14: The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday rallied by
136 points to open at 34,436.98 on strong global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too advanced by 46 points to 10,585.75 in early trade.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 34,473.43 and 34,264.83 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,590.55 and 10,527.95 respectively.
All sectoral indices were trading with positive bias The sectoral indices that moved up were Materials, Energy, Health Care and IT stocks kept the market firm.
The gainer were Bharti Airtel by 2.54 pc to Rs 434.80, Adani Ports by 1.93 pc to Rs 411.40, Wipro by 1.89 pc to Rs 293.35 and HDFC by 1.04 pc to Rs 1824.15.
The losers were SBI by 2.05 pc to Rs 282.60, Axis Bank by 1.47 pc to Rs 554.85 and Sun Pharma b 1.55 pc to Rs 581.25. UNI
