Bengaluru, Feb 5: Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of stooping to a low level and speaking falsehoods at the public meeting here on Sunday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said it was unbecoming of the position he held and sought to face the Assembly elections in a dignified manner.
Reacting to Mr Modi's jibe that the Congress government has been reduced to a 'ten per cent commission government'Mr Siddaramaiah told newsmen here on Monday said the Prime Minister has 'peddled lies about our government'. Mr Modi whgo has protected corrupt BJP leaders has now 'keeping in mind the elections has made politically motivated statements in bad taste'. By protecting and projecting those who looted the state and went to jail as the next Chief Minster of Karnataka, the Prime Minister has dishonoured people of Karnataka he said adding 'he should have spoken like a Prime Minister'.
Referring to the steel flyover project, Mr Siddaramaiah said that the Prime minister had spoken about it after the government had dropped it following the national green tribunal direction. Actually the steel flyover project was conceived by the BJP when it was in power in the state, he claimed. UNI
