11 Congress MLAs, six MLCs suspended in Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 13: Eleven MLAs and six MLCs of the main opposition Congress were suspended from the Telangana Legislature on Tuesday in connection with unsavoury incident during Governor E S L Narasimhan's address to the joint sitting on the opening day of the budget session on Monday. 

In an unprecedented action, the membership of two Congress MLAs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar was cancelled for their role in the hurling of the headphone towards the podium during the Governor's address in which Council Chairman Swamy Goud was hurt in one of his eyes.
The MLAs and MLCs have been suspended till the end of the current budget session. UNI
