Jalandhar, Mar 2: A pall of gloom descended
in Ghunupur Kale village of Amritsar on Friday morning as soon as the news of death of eight people of the village
in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh surfaced.
The victims of the road accident were returning their homes
after paying obeisance at the historical Sikh shrine at Manikaran in Kulu
district of Himachal Pradesh. The accident took place in the wee hours when the
vehicle an Innova, they were travelling in skidded off the road into deep gorge
on Chandigarh Manali national highway near Swarghat.
