Los Angeles, Mar 5: The Oscars paid tributes to legendary actor Shashi Kapoor and iconic
actress Sridevi.
Sridevi, who died this month and Shashi Kapoor, who died in
December, 2017, were honoured in the 'in Memoriam' segment of the 60th Academy
awards held here on Sunday night.
The 'In Memoriam' section acts as a tribute to the film world’s great and good who have passed away .
In a tribute to Sridevi, George Romero described her as a 'Bollywood star who was India’s lover, friend and mum'.
Also remembered in the segment were actor Roger Moore, Jonathan Demme and horror legend George Romero. UNI
