New Delhi, Mar 8: After a Zero Hour discussion to laud the contribution of women on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Rajya Sabha on Thursday again witnessed uproar on various issues.
They included the Cauvery issue and the demand for special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
Proceedings were adjourned till 1400 hours.
As soon as the Council of States concluded a discussion to laud the contribution of women on international women's day, members of the Telugu Desam Party and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham were on their feet.
The members raked up uproar on the Cauvery issue and the granting of special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
Amidst the pandemonium, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the proceedings till 1400 hours.
It was the fourth consecutive day after the resumption of Budget Session that the proceedings of the House had been disrupted. UNI
