Patna, Mar 12: Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav today launched a broadside against the Narendra Modi government on farmers' march to Mumbai saying the centre ignoring the interest of farmers was not even ready to talk to them.
Mr Yadav in his official Twitter account said, “Modi Ji who had promised to implement recommendations of Swaminathan Commission is not even ready to talk to farmers now. How it (government) is taking risk of backtracking from its promises and manifesto in broad daylight”.
As it is, over 30,000 farmers from Maharashtra under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha took out a protest march from Nasik to Mumbai in protest against the government's failure to implement its poll promises. They have also planned to hold demonstration before Maharashtra Assembly. UNI
