Hyderabad, Apr 26: The much-publicized proposal of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) Supremo and Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao to forge a Federal Front as an alternative to the Congress and the BJP at the National level is expected to take the centre stage during the deliberations in the TRS plenary to be held from Friday.
The plenary to be held at the sprawling GBR gardens in Komapally on the outskirts of Hyderabad will also adopt a political resolution on the efforts of the TRS Chief for forging a federal front to bring about a qualitative change in politics.
The one-day plenary, coinciding with the party's foundation day, will discuss the current political situation in the state and the country and accordingly decide the future course of action .
It may be mentioned that in his efforts to forge a federal front, Mr.Rao had alreaday met his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee and former Prime Minister H.D.Deve Gowda. However, the TRS chief is yet to spell out the policies and programmes of the proposed front.
The other vital aspect to be watched during the meeting is what action plan the party will chalk out for the next general elections. UNI
