Apr 4: The Election officials in Karnataka authorities have once again
proved that they will not spare even VVIPs in implementation of Election Code
which is in force for May 12 polls to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and
they ensured a thorough check of aircraft used by AICC President Rahul Gandhi
and BJP President Amit Shah during their visits to the State.
Immediately after arrival of AICC President Rahul Gandhi to
kick start his 5th leg of election tour by special plane on Tuesday, the
officials checked the aircraft and the same team headed by Nodal officer Karpale
also checked another special aircraft in which BJP National President Amit Shah
arrived on a day’s flying visit to Kaginele in Haveri District and Bagalkote.
Dharwad District Deputy Commissioner S B Bommanahalli said that the checks were done as per guidelines and not with any wrong intention.
While, Mr Shah returned to national capital in the evening yesterday, Mr Rahul Gandhi on his second and final day visited Siddaganga Mutt and greeted the Swamiji whose 111th birthday was celebrated on April One and had his blessings. He will return to Delhi after addressing a public meeting at Tumakuru. UNI
