Bagalkote, Karnataka, Apr 21: Janata Dal (Secular) Chief Ministerial nominee and party State President
H D Kumaraswamy today criticised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and BJP State
President B S Yeddyurappa for exhibiting their arrogance in declaring that they
would head the next government even before the May 12 elections are over.
Talking to newsmen here before proceeding to Badami to be
present when Party nominee Hanumanthappa filed his nominations, he said it was
sheer arrogance on the part of both the leaders to browbeat their position even
before the people of the State could decide on their fate. On the contrary he
had been seeking the people to provide him another opportunity and bless him to
form the next government.
He said Mr Siddaramaiah would be definitely defeated in both Chamundeshwari and Badami constituencies. The Chief Minister who had been repeatedly stating that he would not contest from anywhere else, other than Chamundeshwari had after his intense campaign realised that his victory was in peril and hence sought to contest from Badami too. It would be a difficult proposition for him as his party nominee Hanumanthappa had been systematically building his reputation in Badami. UNI
