Patna, Apr 07: With an objective to
tone up police machinery, the Bihar government today effected a major reshuffle
of IPS officers by transferring and posting 21 IPS officers, including seven of
them, being promoted to DIG rank.
According to a notification by state Home Department, Police Superintendent
(Rail) Muzaffarpur Birendra Kumar Jha had been promoted to Deputy Inspector
General (DIG) rank and was posted as DIG (Rail).
Similarly, Police Superintendent (Rail) Jamalpur had been promoted to the rank of DIG and was posted as DIG (vigilance investigation bureau) in its headquarters.
Police Superintendent, Naugachhia Pankaj Sinha had been also promoted to the rank of DIG and was posted in the special department.
Police Superintendent (rural) Patna Lalan Mohan Prasad had been promoted to the rank of DIG and was posted as DIG (Champran range) in Bettiah. Commandant, Home Guards Shekhar Kumar had been promoted to rank of DIG and was posted as DIG (Personnel), Patna.
Police Superintendent (rail) Patna Jitendra Mishra had been promoted to the rank of DIG and was posted as DIG (Munger range). UNI
