Inspects under
construction Laboratory, X-Ray blocks at District hospital
BUDGAM, MAY-28: Deputy Commissioner Budgam
Mohammad Harun Malik today inaugurated the Intensified Diarrhea Control
Fortnight (IDCF) programme at Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial Hospital Budgam.
The DC was
accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Budgam, G M Dar, District Health Officer
and Medical Superintendent ASYM Hospital Dr Deeba Hamid and other senior
doctors.
While
briefing about the IDCF, CMO informed that total 222 ORS and Zinc distribution
corners would be established at hospitals and PHCs and people would be made
aware of the diarrhoea control programme across the district.
On the occasion,
health officers distributed free ORS pockets to people and guided them about
its proper usage to control diarrhoea.
It was revealed
that the health department would reach over to one lakh children under the age
of 5 years under this programme to keep a check on the spread of diarrhoea.
The CMO said that
the health department would conduct door to door survey through Asha workers,
Anganwadi workers and FMPHWs to control diarrhoea and would reach out to the
patients at their doorsteps.
Meanwhile,
DC also inspected the under-construction Laboratory and X-Ray blocks of the
district hospital. He stressed on the early completion of the blocks for the
better health-related facilities to the patients.
He also inspected the newly installed CR machine, X-Ray plant, Endoscopy
and Colonoscopy, Anesthesia Works station, Isoflorine vaporizer, cardiac
monitor with ETco2, surface phototherapy unit, LED Theater light, ENT light
source, Physiotherapy equipments, blood donors couch and electro light analyzer at
the hospital and impressed upon concerned to ensure better healthcare
facilities to the patients.
