BARAMULLA, MAY 28: Deputy
Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today inaugurated Intensified
Diahorrea Control Fortnight (IDCF) here at a function organized by Health
Department at District Hospital.
IDCF is a special
fortnight campaign during which necessary information with regard to diarrhea
control will be disseminated through workshops, seminars and other related
activities so as to eradicate the disease and adopt necessary measures for its
control.
Chief Medical
Officer Dr. Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, Medical superintendent DH, Dr Syed Masood,
Tehsildar Baramulla, Maeen Kakroo, besides Medical Officers, doctors and
paramedical staff of District Hospital Baramulla were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the
occasion, Deputy Commissioner underlined the objectives of the campaign and
hailed the health authorities for their endeavors. He said that portable and
hygienic drinking water is necessary so that it can be controlled at an
earliest. He signified the role of Asha and Anganwari workers in realizing the
initiative and said they should remain active on ground in reaching every
doorstep to aware the people especially mothers about the cleanliness and its
benefits.
Later the DC visits various blocks to review the
medical facilities being provided to the patients. He also interacted with the
patients and attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to
them wherein he exhorted upon the concerned to ensure facilitation every basic
amenity to the patients.
