Distt admn resolves long pending issue of Degwar-Noorkote Road near LoC

POONCH MAY 21: With the intervention of District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad , project of  3.5 km road from Degwar to Noorkote was restarted by PMGSY Division Poonch which will be blacktopped in next 3-4 months .

This  construction work  has been resumed with district administration playing active role in coordinating between executing agency and army authorities. In this regard, meetings were held with all stakeholders by the DDC, and bottlenecks in execution of the crucial project were resolved. A team of Revenue and PMGSY officials was also constituted who jointly made the breakthrough in consultation with the Defence agency.

With focus on improving the roads in the district for making them motor able and potholes free, the DDC today inspected the blacktopping of PMGSY road from Jaranwali Gali to Harni.

He directed the concerned to ensure use of quality material strictly as per standards. He further said special teams will be constituted to check and certify the work quality before payment is made to the contractor.
