Jammu, May 25: BJP State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today said the local administration, ceised of situation developed on borders in wake of unprovoked firing by Pakistan, is making all out efforts to ensure safety and security of people besides providing them shelter, food, health care facilities and other basic amenities round the clock.
The coalition government, he said had so far evacuated many villagers, provided them safe shelters, made arrangements for food and medicines besides disbursed ex-gratia relief to the families of deceased. Yudhvir Sethi was speaking in a meeting of party leaders workers held here today. The meeting besides Mandal Presidents was also attended by Karyakartas (workers) from different wards of old Jammu City.
Yudhvir Sethi while condemning blast at Jammu bus stand said that it's an act of frustration of the part of anti-national elements who want to disturb peace in our state. He urged people to maintain communal harmony and also contribute towards affected families of borer. Those present in the meeting assured to dispatch a truck load of ration on Monday to border to help administration arrange community meals.
The BJP leader urged people to stand by affceted families snd hoped that hostilities on the border will end soon. He said both state as well as central government are ceased of developing situation on borders and the moral of our security forces is too high to deal with situation. While they are defending borders the local administration is taking care of people on this side of the fense.
Earlier, Yudhvir Sethi reviewed preparedness for arrival of newly appointed BJP Chief Ravinder Raina at Old party headquarters at Kachi Chawni on Sunday and asked party workers to prepare for a grand welcome. He said BJP under his dynamic leadership of new president will ensure that all state as well as central schemes meant for poor percolate down to the deserving people and their socio-economic status is uplifted.
