Control room
for public grievances established at DC Office
BANDIPORA, MAY 18: District
Development Commissioner Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai, today reviewed the
stock and supply position of food grains and other essential commodities
available in the district including border tehsils of Gurez and Tulail.
The
meeting was informed that 14,691 and 1,077 quintals of rice and sugar
respectively have been distributed amongst the consumers of Sumbal and
Bandipora constituencies during the current month so far, adding that all
essential commodities stand dumped to cater the local needs of Gurez
constituency up to ending June.
It was
also informed that 1.08 lac litres of kerosene oil are available
for supply in the district, adding that sufficient quantity of rice is also
available.
In
order to attend grievances of the general public during the holy
month of Ramadan, the Bandipora district administration has established a joint
control room in the DC Office under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner
Revenue.

The DDC also directed for intensifying market checking to check the
profiteering, adulteration and black marketing in all areas of the district.
