DDC Bandipora reviews arrangements for holy Ramadan

BANDIPORA, APRIL 11: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai, today convened a meeting to review the arrangements being put in place for the ensuing month of Ramadan.

While holding threadbare discussions on various issues, the DDC instructed the concerned departments to ensure availability of all essential commodities in all areas across the district. He also directed the concerned to ensure uninterrupted water and power supplies, particularly during Sehri and Iftar times.

Reviewing the status of essential supplies position in border areas of Gurez and Tulail, the meeting was informed that sufficient quantities of essential commodities enough until the end of June stand dumped in these areas.

The DDC also ordered for the constitution of market checking squads in all tehsils and major towns of the district and instructed the concerned Tehsildars to monitor these squads. He also directed the concerned to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation around shrines and grand mosques across the district.
