POONCH, MAY 09: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz
Asad today took stock of ongoing works taken up under key developmental sectors
during an extensive tour of areas of the Sub-Division Mendhar.
The inspected works included construction of
conference hall of Dak Bungalow Mendhar, Mankote bridge taken up under CRF,
Upcoming building of SDH Mendhar, Eklavya Model School, Dharana Chowk and bus
stand Mendhar.
Emphasising the importance of these projects in
enhancing connectivity, providing adequate infrastructure for better traffic
management the DDC directed the concerned to expedite the work to complete
these in scheduled time frame and avoid cost overrun. He also directed for
construction of public utilities and passenger sheds at bus stand Mendhar and
Dhrana Chowk.
The DDC also visited Dargah Chotay Shah at Mendhar
and discussed plan for its beautification to promote it as pilgrim tourist destination.
The DDC, other day, visited SDH Mendhar and
inspected various wards of hospital and took stock of medical facilities being
provided to the patients.
The
DDC also inspected the under construction OPD Block and directed R&B to
complete the work within stipulated time and hand over the building to Health
department. During tour of Mendhar market he directed the concerned agency for
taking up drainage works on top priority.
