RAJOURI, MAY 09: MLA Rajouri Adv Qamar Choudhary and District
Development Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today convened a public
meeting here at Behrote to assess the developmental needs of the area and
listen to people’s issues.
A large number of people from Behrote and Kote
attended the meeting and projected their demands. They demanded infrastructure
development in Govt Higher Secondary School Behrote, upgradation of water
supply schemes and other developmental works.
Responding to the demands, the MLA assured the
locals that requisite steps will be taken for infrastructure development and
meeting other demands projected by them. He commended the district
administration for development oriented outreach programme which has resulted
in resolution of long pending demands.
Various issues and demands were discussed in the
meeting. The DDC directed for initiating the work on Dug Well and installation
of 5 hand pumps in Behrote, besides 2 in Kote, construction of approach road and
playground. He further directed for establishment of science lab, computer lab,
smart room and examination hall at Govt
Higher Secondary School Behrote.
It was decided in the meeting that steps will be
initiated for construction of link road upto Gali Behrote and from Kote to
Bhatian during the current financial year. A playground will be developed near
school in addition to boundary wall and additional accommodation. The water
supply intervention will benefit more than 500 families.
A number of developmental issued were resolved on
the spot.
ACR Abdul Qayoom Mir, SDM Afzal Mirza, SDPO Iftkhar
Choudhary, DPO Dr Abdul Khabir, Tehsildar Qadeer Rehman, BDO
Plangarh and other officers attended the meeting.
