KISHTWAR, JUNE 07: A joint
team of enforcement agencies today conducted a surprise market checking here in
the main town and fined the traders for different violations including
overcharging.
The checking was
conducted under the supervision of ADDC Imam Din amid public complaints about
overcharging and sale of poor quality and unhygienic stuff by
shopkeepers in the holy month of Ramadan.
The team inspected over 150 establishments including vegetable, fruit,
mutton and poultry shops. The officials destroyed rotten vegetables and
substandard dairy items and charged Rs 18200 as fine from the erring
traders.
