Asks for adequate supply of life saving drugs
KISHTWAR, JULY 04: To take stock of ground situation in far-off areas, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today listened to public issues here at Tehsil Nagseni.
He was accompanied by SSP Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, ADDC Imam Din, ACD, CPO, Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY, PDD, PHE, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, CEO ,CHO, Tehsildar Nagseni, BDO Nagseni and officials of other departments.
A large number of people from across the Tehsil projected problems pertaining to PMGSY and R&B Roads, Education department, shortage of staff in health department. They also sought adequate early release of compensation for acquired land, supply of kerosene oil, blacktopping of roads, proper functioning of   health, veterinary and social welfare centres, replacement of damaged drinking water pipes, electric poles, smooth functioning of Anganwari centres, issuance of character certificates to unemployed youth at nearest police posts and many more alike.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers of the district administration to put their best in resolving the issues raised by the people. He particularly impressed upon them to show keen interest in ensuring quality of developmental works in rural pockets.
The DC   assured the public that the land compensation cases will be taken up on priority. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments to complete the documentation of the compensation for land acquired for roads and other projects.
Taking a strong note on lack of awareness  about the government schemes among the villagers, the DC asked the ACD to launch massive  awareness drive to educate the people about the same.
Responding to demands related to education sector, the DC directed ZEO to immediately install the bio metric machines in all the schools to eradicate absenteeism in schools as complained by the locals.   He  asked the ZEO to detach all the teachers and send them to their original place of posting . He further warned of strict action if any teacher fails to report at his original place of posting.
Regarding revenue department services, the DC directed officials of the department to expedite the process for issuing PRCs to villagers at their door steps through Patwaris.
Meanwhile, responding to other issues, the   DC asked AEE PHE to clean all the water reservoirs within 5 days to avoid the water born diseases and submit report.
The CMO Kishtwar was directed to keep stock of AVS (Anti venom Serum) in the subcentres Padyarna and PHC Kiru.
ARTO Kishtwar was directed to ask the private transporters to ply vehicles on identified places during emergency.
The people were assured that the youth can get character certificates for employment and other purposes at the nearest police Station.  
Meanwhile, the DC and SSP Kishtwar congratulated the public of Tehsil Nagseni for start of work on Hydro electric power project in the area which would help to mitigate the problem of unemployment among local youth.
